The general procedure for using SmartPlaylist is straightforward:

1. Select a smart playlist
2. Set the desired search rules
3. Tap "Load titles" to load the matching titles
4. Scroll through the list of matching titles
5. Press on a title in the list to play it or tap to view detailed information

The main screen of SmartPlaylist serves as the hub for managing search rules and playlists. Here, you can easily navigate through various menus and options. Features such as settings, help, copying/pasting rules, and iCloud backup/restore are easily accessible.

Browsing through your music collection is a breeze with SmartPlaylist. You can navigate hierarchically by genres, composers, artists, albums, and titles. Convenient list operations allow you to add, subtract, or intersect the results of your SmartPlaylists.

When it comes to organizing your titles within SmartPlaylist, you have full control. Limit the number of titles per artist or album, or set a time limit for your playlist. Additionally, sorting can be done based on multiple criteria such as artist, rating, and play count.

Switching between SmartPlaylists is seamless with the "Show only" feature. This allows you to load another SmartPlaylist while effortlessly maintaining playback from the previous list in the background.

If you choose not to set any search rules, simply tapping "Load titles" will load all titles in your music library into SmartPlaylist.

The list view displays all titles that match your search rules. Long-pressing on a title allows for easy play/pause functionality. Furthermore, you can adjust the row height and toggle artwork display by pinching in/out.

Quick-search functionality makes it effortless to search within the loaded list or mark certain titles. Additionally, you can easily locate the currently playing song in the list with the "Now playing" feature.

In-depth details and information about each selected song are available in the detail view. Here, you can scroll through the title list and easily access various options such as covering artwork enlargement up to full screen size. Tapping on a line opens the values in a text view, offering the ability to copy text or look up definitions for lyrics and more. Furthermore, you can add the selected song to another smart playlist or remove it from the current one, allowing for exceptional flexibility.

SmartPlaylist also provides the option to load all songs with the same genre, artist, year, and more as the currently selected song.
